The Origin
of Circe.
Our story started in Berkeley, bonding on BART rides home from networking events where we were often the only women in the room. We thought: "let's change this." We led the charge with Berkeley Female Founders and Funders, which quickly transformed into a community of 2,000+ founders and investors, all looking for the same thing: a seat at a table we built ourselves.

The Philosophy
Named after the powerful Greek sorceress, Circe is our answer to the traditional startup scene. We create the authentic, curated spaces we wish we'd had—moving past superficial networking to build real, continuous relationships between founders, investors, and operators.
Our mission is to ensure that when ambitious women arrive as strangers, they leave as lifelong collaborators with the access and insights they need to raise, deploy, and generate capital.
